Welcome to my pottery obsession. I know — it’s a thing.

My name is Jolene McGowan. I live and work in Portland, Maine, doing other things to make money. But clay — pottery — ceramics — that’s my latest love. I think I’ve always been trying to make something. In 2024, I took a class at Handful Studios in Portland, Maine, and fell madly in love with clay. The first pot that actually held water filled me with joy.

My pots are not perfect, but they are made with love. They hold water — or anything else you need held. Use them as vases, jewelry holders, mugs, glasses, or whatever you can dream up.

It’s so much more than clay.
